Combining centuries-old tools for both sharpening and fire-starting, the Viking Spark™ is unlike any other everyday necklace. The hand-cut, genuine Arkansas Novaculite whetstone gives you the ability to sharpen tools, large and small. All the while, the ceramic scraper nests inconspicuously on the back side of the pendant. WHETSTONE

Made in the USA, this genuine Arkansas novaculite stone is a great general purpose stone for sharpening and maintenance. Every stone pattern is unique as they are hand-ground.

CERAMIC PENDANT

Confidently carry this ceramic scraper knowing it will never rust or dull. It's 10x harder than steel, so use it scrape, ignite, and when it's wet or dry.

FERRO ROD TOGGLE

Throw a huge shower of super-heated sparks with our custom soft mixture of Ferrocerium. One Ferro Rod can last up to 200 uses, so test it, use it, and replace it when needed.

QUICK RELEASE CLASP

Our custom designed, innovative, and removable clasp not only allows you to replace a worn-out ferro rod, but it also allows you trim the leather cord, giving your necklace a truly perfect fit.

Nice functional pendent

Love the idea of having all these items on one necklace. I even attached a small neck knife to it. My only complaint (as many have done) is it doesn’t give you an option like the old whetstone of picking the plain grey or the patterned flavor. The one I got is the boring plain grey. Womp womp.

exactly what's listed

this is a great tool. i'm not a fan of how long the ferro rod lasts but then again this isn't meant to be your primary fire source when crafting bushes and you can buy extras for a reasonable price, however that's more of a feature than a flaw. when i received it the whetstone had yellow marks along it, i don't know if that causes any functional issues but i don't mind the color being off. i'm still not 100 percent on if it's worth the price (i don't know much about whetstone costs) but if you're looking for a necklace specifically like this one, naturally this is going to be the best place to get it. i'm a big fan and will definitely be getting some replacement rods in the future. if i had the ability to go between ratings i would give it a 4.25/5 stars. nothing to write home about but definitely does as intended and does it well.

Nice.

Looks great, ferro rod works well for the size. I still need to practice my sharpening skills before I use it. I had hoped for a lighter stone, but the darker one I got is growing on me.

Great Quality!
